The difference between Cambridge O Level and IGCSE Business Studies.

Cambridge International Examination’s (CIE) IGCSE Business Studies (0450) and O Level Business Studies (7115) are equivalent qualifications.

As both these qualifications are equivalent, the syllabus, the assessment objectives and techniques are more or less same.

Students who opted for Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies (0450) sit for two papers. 

Paper-1 consists of four questions for 80 marks, requiring a mixture of short answers and structured data responses.  All the four questions need to be answered in 1-hour 30 minutes duration.

Paper-2 consists four questions for 80 marks, based on a case study. All the four questions need to be answered in 1-hour 30 minutes duration.

Paper-1 and Paper-2 are equally weighted for final marks.

Same as Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies (0450)...........Students who opted for Cambridge O Level Business Studies (7115) sit for two papers.

The results of the students who appear for Cambridge O Level Business Studies are shown by one of the grades ranging from A* to E (A*,A,B,C,D,E).  ‘A*’ being the highest standard achieved by the student and ‘E’ being the lowest standard.  Whereas, those who appear for Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies are shown by one of the grades ranging from A* to G (A*,A,B,C,D,E,F,G). ‘A*’ being the highest standard achieved by the student and ‘G’ being the lowest standard.
